Fees & Insurance

At O'Brien & Associates, our goal is to provide access to quality mental health and substance abuse services. We offer some of the most affordable rates in the industry for a wide range of experienced clinicians. We are an out-of-network provider with all insurance providers. All clients pay their services fees on the day they receive services. If you have a PPO-type insurance plan, many insurance providers will reimburse 50-80% of your fees if you have met your deductible. We do not accept Medicare, Medi-Cal, or Oregon Health Plan, and these programs do not cover our services.

We offer discounted rates to first responders, teachers, veterans, and active-duty military members and their immediate family members, click here for more info. We also offer reduced fees through our sliding-scale program for those earning less than $70k per year, click here for more info.

Clients may also save up to 20% off regular service rates by purchasing pre-paid packages of services. Click here to purchase or get more information.

Insurance

We are an out-of-network provider with all insurance providers. All clients pay their services fees on the day they receive services. If you have a PPO type insurance plan, many insurance providers will reimburse 50-80% of your fees depending on your coverage and if you have met your deductible. If you have health insurance that is a PPO policy with out-of-network benefits your insurance may reimburse you. Upon request, after your payment is received and your session is completed, we can provide you with a "superbill" which you can submit to your insurance company. Any reimbursement payments from your insurance company will be paid directly to you. Even though you may have out-of-network mental health or substance abuse benefits and our services are authorized we cannot guarantee you will be reimbursed by your insurance company.

Helpful questions to ask your insurance company:

• Do I have mental health coverage?
• What percentage of my bill will be covered for services obtained by an out-of-network provider?
• How many sessions will be covered per calendar year?
• What is my deductible and has it been met?

Rescheduling & Cancellations

You must provide a minimum of 48-hours notice in advance of scheduled services to change or cancel the appointment at no charge. Late cancellations or reschedules and missed appointments are billed at the same rate as the actual service.
